The Balochistan government has formally launched the Youth Vocational Skills Training Program in Quetta to equip young people with professional skills, reduce unemployment, and promote economic self-reliance.
The scheme seeks to give young people, especially women, technical and vocational abilities that match modern industry needs, helping them find jobs or start their own enterprises.
Through the initiative, participants in Quetta receive hands-on instruction across a range of fields to develop their professional capabilities.
Currently, more than 240 female students are enrolled in courses such as beauty services, hand embroidery and other vocational trades. The program places strong emphasis on practical training so graduates can obtain employment or launch small businesses after finishing.
The provincial government aims to deliver technical and vocational training to more than 720 young people in Quetta under this effort. It is expected to lift employment chances, strengthen women's economic independence and spur entrepreneurship among the province's youth.
