Fakhar Zaman hit 127 in the tri-nation series final versus Sri Lanka at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, taking his ODI tally to 4,000 runs and equalling Saeed Anwar's record of two centuries in ODI finals.

A century that delivered two milestones

The Pakistani opener struck 11 fours and six sixes in a 99-ball effort, marking his 12th ODI hundred and becoming the 16th Pakistani batsman to pass the 4,000-run threshold.

This achievement places him among names such as Inzamam-ul-Haq, Javed Miandad, Younis Khan and Anwar. His career aggregate now reads 4,019 runs from 96 ODI innings.

Joining Anwar with two hundreds in finals

The knock against Sri Lanka was Zaman's second hundred in an ODI tournament final, the first coming against India in the 2017 Champions Trophy decider at The Oval, London.

Former captain and opener Saeed Anwar also recorded two finals centuries:

  • Vs Sri Lanka in the 1993 Wills Trophy final.
  • Vs India in the 1998 Silver Jubilee Independence Cup final.

Zaman's ODI record

In 96 ODI innings, Zaman holds a batting average of 44.65 and a strike rate of 93.57, with 12 centuries and 19 fifties to his name.
