Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah stated in the Senate on Thursday that £190 million transferred from the Supreme Court is funding the Daanish University project in Islamabad.
Answering a point brought up by Senator Saifullah Abro, he explained that the Daanish Schools program began in Punjab using donor money and is currently expanding to Bahawalpur as well.
He noted that these schools deliver good education to poor and parentless children, mentioning that their alumni have become doctors and engineers and attended universities globally.
Rana Sanaullah called Daanish Schools a key project of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Addressing corruption claims, he invited Senator Abro to provide any verified details, promising that authorities would review the issue and act firmly if they found any misconduct.
Concerning Nadeem Mehboob, Rana Sanaullah mentioned that he has known him for 15 to 20 years and views him as a truthful individual, adding that any reliable facts would reach the prime minister and face an inquiry if required.
