Great Western Railway has started a major Black Friday promotion providing more than 50,000 British travellers with half-price journeys starting next week. Customers can buy these tickets immediately for trips occurring later this month.
The promotion applies to routes across the West of England, Wales, and the South West, with Great Western Railway offering 50 per cent off fares. The Black Friday event includes trips throughout the Cotswolds, Thames Valley, South Wales, and the South West across 60,000 total tickets.
Travelers can use these reduced fares between November 6 and December 17, 2026.
Helen da Costa, head of marketing at GWR, said: "Black Friday is a great opportunity to grab a bargain and give yourself something exciting to look forward to before Christmas."
She added: "Whether you're planning a festive day out, visiting friends and family or simply fancy a change of scenery, our sale offers savings of up to 50% on selected Standard and First-Class Advance tickets."
She also stated: "With 60,000 discounted tickets available, there are plenty of opportunities to make plans without spending a fortune."
The promotion is restricted to Advance Single fares and cannot be refunded.
Standard fares start as low as £22 for trips between Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington, or from £32 for travel to Exeter St Davids.
People must purchase these cheaper tickets by Monday, November 2, because supplies are limited and restricted to specific routes and services.
Purchases are available through the GWR app or the GWR website.
