A labourer suffered a suspected fatal heart attack outside a police facility in Vehari after traffic officers confiscated his motorcycle due to reported traffic infractions, according to reports.
Traffic officers intercepted the man, named Zulfiqar Ali, at Khanewal Chowk during a routine check. A police representative stated that he allegedly lacked a helmet and the necessary paperwork for the bike.
Officers handed him a ticket and confiscated the vehicle, bringing it to the station.
Zulfiqar went to the station later to get his motorcycle back because he reportedly could not pay the ticket. His health failed rapidly outside the station door, and he fell down.
Law enforcement officials reported that workers rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital, where medical staff could not save him despite treatment.
Early findings indicate Zulfiqar had a heart attack, though authorities are still looking into the exact details of the event.
This occurrence sparked questions regarding strict traffic penalties and how officers enforce them.
