According to 24NewsHD, the Punjab Finance Department issued Rs. 10 billion to Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital so the facility can offer free medical care to individuals battling cancer. Officials stated that budget funds were specifically designated to cover these medical services for patients.
In addition, the Finance Department distributed Rs. 243 million to the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore, alongside Rs. 457 million directed to municipal corporations. Provincial municipal committees also received another Rs. 1.6 billion.
Authorities noted that money sent to local government organizations is intended for staff salaries and daily operational costs.
