Federal Investigation Agency figures show that Pakistan registered more than 4.4 million tourist-visa arrivals throughout 2024 and 2025. Afghan citizens made up the biggest nationality group during this timeframe, coming ahead of travelers from the United Kingdom and the United States.

Annual arrivals rise, but country trends differ

The yearly sum grew from roughly 2.183 million in 2024 to approximately 2.29 million in 2025. This growth happened even though entries from Afghanistan and the United States dropped during the second year.

Afghan citizens made up 1,216,873 tourist-visa entries in the observed timeframe. Their yearly total dropped from about 641,000 in 2024 to roughly 575,000 in 2025.

UK ranks second, followed by the US

Travelers from the United Kingdom totaled roughly 1.017 million entries over the two years, taking second place. In contrast to the Afghan numbers, UK entries grew from about 503,000 in 2024 to roughly 514,000 in 2025.

The United States took third place with 509,947 entries in the same period. Its yearly count dropped from approximately 261,000 in 2024 to about 248,000 in 2025.

The Federal Investigation Agency document additionally provided two-year tourist-visa totals for several other nations:

  • Iran: 259,720 arrivals
  • Canada: 234,129 arrivals
  • China: 159,688 arrivals
  • Australia: 117,732 arrivals

What the figures cover

The Federal Investigation Agency put the document together via its Integrated Border Management System, which tracks border crossings. The sums apply solely to entries completed on tourist visas.

Entrants using different visa types are left out of these numbers. The sum of over 4.4 million entries must therefore not be viewed as the complete count of foreign travelers coming into Pakistan for every reason across 2024 and 2025.
