Pakistan Single Window, known as PSW, pushes forward workplace equality via Mat2Work. This three-month transition program aids new mothers coming back to their jobs following maternity leave. The effort highlights the dedication of PSW toward backing women in the digital trade ecosystem of Pakistan.

Data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics Labour Force Survey 2024-25 shows female labour force participation sits at 24.4%. Juggling jobs and caregiving points to the necessity of work setups allowing sustainable comebacks for new mothers. Pre-return planning sessions, tailored transition plans, flexible hours and hybrid work options form the core of Mat2Work. A phased method grants returning mothers time to readjust while handling family duties.

An on-site Day Care Centre located in Karachi by PSW pairs with the program to offer practical childcare assistance. Both steps link structured reintegration after maternity leave with steady backing once parents resume work duties.

Syed Sohaib Hassan, who serves as Chief Human Resource Officer or CHRO at PSW, stated, "Returning to work after childbirth can be both rewarding and challenging. Mat2Work reflects our strategic commitment to creating an empathetic, family-friendly workplace that supports new mothers in returning to work and continuing to grow in their careers."

Technical staff at PSW find strong relevance in this dedication. Core technical jobs employ roughly 89% of female staff at the organization, and management levels from G-3 to G-6 hold 41% of them. Helping women balance motherhood and professional duties matters greatly for talent retention and growth.

Diversity, equity and inclusion frameworks at PSW include Mat2Work alongside pay parity reviews, workplace awareness and professional development. Training, professional certifications or learning opportunities reached 70% of female employees at PSW from FY 2025-26 up to the present. These elements back ongoing career advancement alongside the return program.

Flexibility, practical help and development opportunities offered by PSW allow women to pursue long-term technology careers.
