Apple plans to release the upcoming iPhone Air 2 next spring together with the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e, bringing a thinner build and dual rear cameras. Recent reports now outline additional hardware specifications for the device.

The iPhone Air 2 will sport a flat OLED display measuring 6.55 inches, according to the leak. This screen should provide a 1.5K+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a standard aspect ratio.

Apple's 2nm A20-series processor is tipped to power the smartphone. The iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Duo introduced this same chip family, which may deliver better efficiency and power to the thin handset.

Significant changes are also coming to photography capabilities. Rumors indicate the iPhone Air 2 will pack two 48MP sensors on the back, consisting of wide and ultrawide lenses, which replaces the single camera found on the previous model.

An increase in battery size is anticipated as well. Previous information indicated the unit might include a battery of approximately 3,500mAh or greater, though Apple has not verified the precise size.

Additional reports indicate the iPhone Air 2 will have a thickness of only 5.2mm. The phone should also contain the newest C2 modem and N2 wireless processor from Apple, while maintaining a visual style close to the original iPhone Air.

Apple has not made an official announcement regarding the iPhone Air 2. Additional information concerning its hardware and release schedule should appear nearer to the anticipated spring 2027 launch.
