Honor has released the X8e 4G, a brand new mobile device equipped with a 108MP camera, a 7,700mAh battery, along with heavy-duty resistance against severe weather conditions, water, and dust.
According to the manufacturer, the phone handles temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C. It functions for an entire day within humid and salty atmospheres. Additional rugged attributes consist of a touchscreen that works during rainstorms and a specialized underwater camera setting.
The X8e 4G shares most specifications with the Honor X7e Plus 4G released back in August, though the main variation lies in a smaller power cell.
Design and Display
The Honor X8e 4G displays a 6.87-inch LCD screen boasting a resolution of 720 x 1592 pixels alongside a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches up to 1,020 nits of maximum brightness and includes a punch-hole cutout for the front shooter.
The handset measures 8.3mm in thickness and tips the scales at 218g. Buyers can pick from Sunrise Orange, Desert Gold, and Velvet Black.
Honor built the device with IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications to shield against dust particles, water submersion, and high-pressure water streams.
The phone earned a five-star SGS drop-resistance rating after surviving falls from up to 2.5 meters. The company also states the unit is engineered to stay operational for at least six years.
Internals and Software
Inside the Honor X8e 4G runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 685 processor, built on a 6nm architecture.
The chipset houses Cortex-A73 and Cortex-A53 CPU cores together with an Adreno 610 graphics processing unit.
The mobile device arrives packed with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage space.
It accommodates dual nano-SIM cards and 4G mobile networks, but lacks 5G capabilities.
Extra connection choices feature Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC. The hardware additionally supports LDAC, aptX HD, and LHDC 5.0 audio protocols.
The telephone operates on MagicOS 10 powered by Android 16.
Cameras
The Honor X8e 4G incorporates a 108MP primary rear sensor, standing as one of its primary selling points.
Still, the Snapdragon 685 chip restricts video capture to a maximum of 1080p resolution.
For self-portraits and video calls, the unit supplies a 5MP front-facing lens.
It also provides an underwater photography mode.
Battery and Pricing
The Honor X8e 4G houses a 7,700mAh battery supporting 45W Honor SuperCharge rapid charging speeds.
By comparison, the Honor X7e Plus 4G houses an 8,100mAh battery. Despite this difference in capacity, both phones share an 8.3mm thickness and weigh 218g.
The X8e 4G sells with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for roughly $480.
The company has not disclosed broader global availability plans.
