Hosts experienced confusion when a photographer wandered right through an active DAZN transmission at the Ballon d Or.
The individual stepped directly between former England forward Lianne Sanderson and sports reporter Fabrizio Romano while they were on air.
Security personnel then intercepted the man, shoving him in the opposite direction while the broadcast hosts stared in total disbelief.
Viewers shared their thoughts online, where one commenter posted, "That's unprofessional way for security guard to do that in such an event."
Another shared, "This was so hilarious."
A third added, "The funniest moment at the Ballon d'Or ceremony tonight already."
Meanwhile, a fourth stated, "What in the world was he trying to do? What an embarrassment."
Harry Kane and Alexia Putellas secured the principal trophies during Monday night's Ballon d Or event.
Kane made history by becoming the first English player to claim the honor in 25 years.
The Bayern Munich athlete noted, "I'm almost speechless, luckily I have this list. First of all thank you to French football, the Ballon d'Or this amazing event being in London as well looked a good omen for me so thank you very much."
He continued, "Thank you to everyone who voted for me. I can imagine it was really tough this year, [with] some of the incredible players I was up against - some of my team-mates [and] world class players in the room tonight.
"Congratulations to all the winners, all the nominees, an impressive showing of what hard work and determination can achieve, so well done..."
Kane extended his gratitude toward his fellow team-mates, trainers, past teams, and relatives.
