Stalled negotiations between the United States and Iran are creating sharp volatility in precious-metal markets, as President Trump recently demanded historical conflict compensation from Tehran, effectively halting ongoing peace talks. The deadlock eliminates any immediate hope of reopening the Strait of Hormuz, pushing global oil prices higher and stoking fresh inflation concerns. Investors, fearing further instability, are rapidly buying gold and silver as safe-haven assets.

In Pakistan, these international pressures are driving local gold and silver prices sharply upward, with Sarafa markets constantly adjusting rates to reflect the macroeconomic impact.

Today's Pakistani rates are as follows:

Gold (24K) - Rs. 414,473 per Tola, Rs. 355,350.30 per 10 grams, Rs. 35,535.03 per gram.

Silver (24K) - Rs. 5,327.01 per Tola, Rs. 4,567.13 per 10 grams, Rs. 456.713 per gram.

International spot rates for the day are $3,995.67 per troy ounce for gold and $51.384 per troy ounce for silver.
