Samsung introduced its newest high-end foldable device, the W27, for the Chinese market. Building upon the foundation of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, this fresh iteration brings a more opulent aesthetic complete with gold highlights, a dual-tone style, and a unique collector bundle.
Exterior shades of red and blue on the Samsung W27 carry specific cultural importance within China. Gold trimming appears on the body, hinge, back camera housing, and lens rings, alongside the company's distinct gold Heart to the World emblem on the rear.
Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 shields the exterior and interior glass surfaces. Buyers also receive a special collector box containing a 45W charging brick, a Kevlar safety case, and standard items.
Underneath the luxury styling, internal components match the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, though Samsung included satellite communication capabilities. The mobile device contains a 6.5-inch outer screen paired with an 8.0-inch internal display.
Processing power comes from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, supported by a 5,000mAh energy cell and three back cameras. A 200MP main sensor anchors the photography array, while Android 17 with One UI 9 handles software operations.
Two memory tiers are available, each pairing with 16GB of RAM. The 512GB version carries a price tag of CNY 18,999 ($2,850), and the 1TB edition sells for CNY 21,999 ($3,300). Purchases can be made through the official web store in China, though plans for international sales remain unannounced.
