Islamabad Police Mobile Vans Schedule and Locations
Islamabad Capital Territory Police have issued a six-day schedule for their mobile facilitation vans, which will provide driving license and other police services to citizens at 18 locations across the federal capital from November 2 to 7.
An Islamabad Capital Territory Police official told APP that three mobile units, including a Police Station on Wheels and two facilitation vans, will visit different educational institutions, residential areas and public places to provide services at citizens' doorsteps.
The rollout of these mobile units forms part of a broader administrative effort to ease congestion at traditional police stations and licensing centers. By bringing essential documentation directly to universities, commercial hubs, and residential neighborhoods, the department aims to improve public access to routine administrative procedures without requiring citizens to travel across the city.
Operating Hours and Services Provided by Mobile Units
The official said the mobile units would operate daily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, offering services such as missing reports, police character certificates, learner driving permits, license renewals and duplicate driving licenses. The two facilitation vans will also provide driving test sheets and other license-related services.
These units function as decentralized offices equipped with the necessary technology and personnel to process applications on the spot. Citizens can complete paperwork, submit required fees or documentation, and receive guidance from trained officers stationed inside or alongside the vans.
The inclusion of learner driving permits and license renewals addresses high demand from students and working professionals who often struggle to visit permanent licensing branches during standard weekday business hours. Character certificates and missing reports are similarly high-volume requests that benefit from expedited mobile processing.
