Traffic authorities are issuing court summons to residents who failed to clear outstanding digital challans, such as individuals who secured a fresh CNIC or driving licence rather than settling their penalties.

Traffic police representatives stated that an unpaid digital challan penalty doubles after 10 days pass without payment, after which the matter moves to the appropriate court.

Authorities noted that numerous residents avoided visiting courts to collect seized papers because the penalties doubled. Consequently, police will dispatch court summons to everyone missing the 10-day payment limit.

Police figures show that total pending digital challans and seized documents stand at close to 800,000.

The notices instruct residents to settle their challans and retrieve their seized papers. Individuals ignoring the summons will encounter harsher legal measures, according to officials.
