Public-sector nursing colleges across Punjab will expand their admission capacity after the University of Health Sciences Lahore approved 1,100 extra evening seats in nursing programs.

Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (R) Prof. Dr. Sohail Sabir led the 96th Syndicate meeting of the university where officials cleared these additional spots for 18 government nursing institutions throughout the province.

This growth intends to produce greater options for individuals pursuing training in nursing. Still, the institution omitted details regarding a specific timeline for these seats or a breakdown for each individual college in its announcement.

During the same gathering, the Syndicate greenlit multiple academic changes, such as five fresh PhD courses covering Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Oral Biology and Medical Laboratory Sciences, to advance postgraduate learning and investigation.
